Bulbs of this wonderful climbing lily from southern Africa are now available from Exbury's glasshouse nursery.

Dormant in winter, the Gloriosa lily is suitable for conservatories. Plant tubers horizontally 7-10 cms below surface in John Innes No. 2  with added grit for best results with new growth nodules pointing upwards. In the wild it scrambles up through other shrubs so it will need support if grown alone. Water well in spring, keep dry in winter and keep, if possible, above 10C.
